Q. Confess your blogger sins!  Is there anything as a newbie blogger that you've done, that as you gained more experience you were like - OOPS!

Oh wow.....honestly I probably make these kind of goofs all the time, especially since I still consider myself technically a "newbie blogger".  I started this blog October of 2012 so 4 months (going on 5) is not enough time to make me seasoned in ANY WAY!  I learn from you guys ALL the time - and especially those of you who publish posts about tips and tricks.  Wow, those are so very helpful!

But just 3 days ago I did do something rather embarrassing.  I haven't participated in TTT since December but really liked the topic this week so I made up my post, published it and was super excited to share it with my fave auto-buy authors via Twitter, so I rushed on over to tweet to them about it, link included.  I heard back from 1 of them - which total sidebar, whenever I hear back from an author via social media it makes my day!  I mean, these are normal people just like we are, but they have a unique gift that I personally don't have and have created worlds and characters we all fall in love with, so when they take time to recognize "fans" it's highly appreciated!

So, hours later....I get the email from my blog for the day and begin to read through it, as I do every day to catch any mistakes I didn't catch before publishing.  It doesn't matter how many times I proofread my post before publishing I almost always miss something.  Tuesday's TTT post was no exception.  But this time, it was a biggie.  One of my auto-buy authors right now is Jamie McGuire (after her release of Beautiful Disaster).  But you see in my post I listed her as "Jamie McAlister"....who is that anyway?!?  I'm not even sure where that came from.  UGH!!!  If she took the time to read my post from the tweet hours earlier than she would've already seen the goof.  But oh man, did I feel STUPID and embarrassed.

Lesson learned - proof read authors names, if nothing else, multiple times before publishing and then tweeting about said post.  :/

What about you?  What mistakes did you make early on that you learned from?
Don't forget to follow via GFC (preferred) or by email, and let me know how you followed so I can return the favor.
